Very interesting exhibition poster by Georg Baselitz.
The artwork on the poster is called "Schwester Busen" (Sister bosom) and was painted in 1992.
Georg Baselitz is a prominent German painter and sculptor renowned for his bold, expressive style and for frequently depicting his subjects upside-down, a technique he began using in the late 1960s to challenge conventional perspectives. Born in 1938, Baselitz played a significant role in post-war German art, combining elements of abstraction and figuration. His work often reflects themes of identity, history, and the human condition, marked by a raw and confrontational aesthetic that has influenced contemporary art globally.
Louisiana (Danish Museum of Modern Art) is located in Humlebæk north of Copenhagen, Denmark. The museum was opened its doors in 1958 and with its approximately 600,000 annual visitors, is one of Denmark's most visited museums and among the ten most visited tourist attractions. Louisiana is a collection of contemporary art, but also an interaction between art, architecture and landscape.
Louisiana got his name from court master Alexander Brun, who built a villa on the site in 1855. The villa's name is probably inspired by the three women he married - all three were named Louise. The founder of Louisiana chose to keep the name from the country house he subsequently transformed into a museum. The villa is now a part of the museum.
