A great poster from Scandinavian Airlines Systems celebrating their 50th anniversary.
The poster show what I believe to be Douglas DC-3 which is a fixed-wing propeller-driven airliner. The plane has a cruise speed of 207 mph (333 km/h) and range of 1,500 mi (2,400 km) and revolutionized air transport in the 1930s and 1940s.
The lasting effect of the Douglas DC-3 on the airline industry and World War II makes it one of the most significant transport aircraft ever made. When the United States entered the second world war, grew the need for transport aircraft. The DC-3 was therefore built in a version as transport aircraft under the name C-47 Skytrain or Dakota.
This poster is would fit into any aviation collection or as cool decor for the aircraft enthusiast.
