An overwhelmingly cute vintage poster featuring a group of happy and curious lemurs.

Tierpark Berlin welcomed its first lemurs in 1984 and made this poster in their honor to promote these little fellows from Madagascar.

This poster was made as advertisement for zoo in former East Berlin, known as the Tierpark.

The Tierpark (meaning "animal park") was founded 1955 in former East Berlin as Berlin Zoological Garden (located in West Berlin) became impassable for the residents of the former Eastern sector in DDR. There was made a huge effort to make zoo larger, more beautiful and with rarer animals than its western counterpart. Today the Tierpark with its 160 hectares is the largest of its kind in Europe. It has about 7,500 animals spread over more than 850 species.
