A very nice lithographic advertisement poster in a strong artistic layout.
The poster is encouraging people experience the New York City Ballet on tour and made a guest performance back in 1983 in the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The poster was made using watercolors on paper and the artwork appears to be a photo but it is a lithographic print. The artist painted with a photographic precision which is clearly visible on the very poster.
As an artist Hans Henrik Lerfeldt (1946 - 1989) was a Danish painter and graphic artist. As seen on the poster - the woman was one of his favorite subjects. He cultivated the provocative and repulsive with strong emphasis on the erotic, like sadomasochistic scenes with women and insects.
