1981 Pop Art Train Travel Poster 3 - Original Vintage Poster

A stylish pop art poster originally made as an advertisement for Danish State Railways (DSB).

Instead of displaying large locomotives or landscape scenery the artist took pictures of train passengers on a summer day in 1981.

All the photos for the series of six posters was taking on Copenhagen Central Station. And after the photographer selected the best pictures he added a lot of powerful colors - this was the 1980s indeed!

The artwork was created by Poul Janus Ipsen (1936) who also is well known for his advertisement designs and paintings.
