This lithography simply is known as "The Chair" ("Stolen" in Danish) was originally made for the 25th anniversary of The Danish Furniture Quality Control.

Arnoldi is a self-taught, world-renowned modernist artist. He is particularly known for his posters and considered one of Denmark's most important poster artists. He is known for a tight and easily recognizable form and color language. As a painter, Per Arnoldi always uses primary colors (red/yellow/blue) on a bed of black - just like on this very poster.

Arnoldi is represented in a number of well known museums in the world including Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Museum of Modern Art in New York, Museum of Modern Art in Toyama and Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.

This poster is a great contribution to the modernist legacy that (without a doubt) will spice up any wall it is hanged on. The poster is extremely hard to find so if you find yourself in the need of something quite unique - you came to the right place.

This chair was intended to private sale though the design has been made in different colors to promote a Danish bank.

This lithography is signed and numbered by Per Arnoldi with pencil.
