Stunning lithography encouraging people to visit an Arnoldi exhibition in Basel, Switzerland.
The motif on the poster is known as "The Fallen Chair".
The chair design in red, yellow and blue was first used for the 25th anniversary of The Danish Furniture Quality Control. However, the designer (Per Arnoldi) has used the same chair in many of his designs.
Arnoldi is a self-taught, world-renowned modernist artist. He is particularly known for his posters and considered one of Denmark's most important poster artists. He is known for a tight and easily recognizable form and color language. As a painter, Per Arnoldi always uses primary colors (red/yellow/blue) on a bed of black - just like on this very poster.
Arnoldi is represented in a number of well known museums in the world including Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Museum of Modern Art in New York, Museum of Modern Art in Toyama and Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
This poster is a great contribution to the modernist legacy that (without a doubt) will spice up any wall it is hanged on. The poster is extremely hard to find so if you find yourself in the need of something quite unique - you came to the right place.
