A truly magical and mysterious poster which has exactly the right balance to wake up your imagination and create an atmosphere of its own.

The poster was designed to encourage people to the tragedy Salome. The play was written by the infamous Oscar Wilde in 1891. However, Richard Strauss also made an opera with the same name in 1905 - inspired by the tragedy. I am not sure which show the poster is advertising.

The artwork for this poster was created by Lars Bo (1924-1999). Mr. Bo was a Danish artist and writer and is best known for his graphic works by surrealist inspired fairy tale motifs. Maybe this is why he got the nickname "The Wizard"?
