A beautiful exhibition poster with artwork by Edvard Munch.

Edvard Munch (1863-1944) was a Norwegian painter greatly influenced German Expressionism. He is immortalized by the world famous painting called "The Scream".

Munch made the artwork for the poster in 1894 and he named it "Madonna" and it is believed that the Munch tried to capture the love, sensuality, fertilization and death of the female. A masterpiece no matter how you look at it!

The Munch exhibition was set up in Malmö Konsthall in Sweden in 1975.
