A quite silly poster featuring an okapi during the laundry.

I believe the poster is a advertisement for the Polish stage play "Okapi" which was written in 1909 by Stanisław Grochowiak. Interestingly, the okapi (the animal) was discovered just a few years before the play was written - discovering such a large animal this late in history was quite a sensation. Perhaps this is why the stage play was named Okapi.

As far as I can understand from translating the Polish resume of the play, there is no exact okapi but the term is used to describe a woman as "agility and elasticity of the antelope, the giraffe's dignity, the vigilance and agility of the horse with the exotic beauty of the zebra".
