Two colorful birds helps the young ballerina tiring her shoelaces before the curtain falls.
This beautiful travel poster was commissioned by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark (Trade and Development) as a part of a campaign to promote Denmark in Stockholm, Sweden. In a poster competition Antoni had designed four posters and among the posters was this cute poster of a ballet girl.
Ib Antoni (1929-1973) is a world famous artist and received many prices during his 20 year career. He created over 300 posters in his career among his designs is several Tivoli Garden, Visit Denmark and Wonderful Copenhagen posters. Birds and people was among Antoni's favorite subjects and his line was always happy and romantic which makes this poster quite true to his style.
There is a few different versions of this poster - some with the headliners in different languages for example "Denmark - The Royal Ballet". It is quite difficult to find a cope of this poster without a main title so I guess this poster could have been a test print - but I am not sure.
Overall this is a great vintage poster featuring good vibrations along a creative artwork by one of Denmark's most beloved artists.
