1960s Denmark Travel Poster by Ib Antoni (royal guard, small version) - Original Vintage Poster

A smiling Royal Danish Life Guard is displaying the Danish flag to lure visitors to Copenhagen, Denmark.

This advertisement was commissioned by "Wonderful Copenhagen" (the tourist board in Copenhagen) and this poster was probably aiming for the French-speaking audience.

The poster artist, Ib Antoni (1929-1973), is a quite famous artist and received many prizes during his 20 year career. He designed more than 300 posters in his career and among them is several Tivoli Garden, Visit Denmark and Wonderful Copenhagen posters. Smiling people was among Antoni's favorite subjects and his line was always happy and romantic which makes this poster quite true to his cheerful style.

Overall this is a great vintage poster featuring good vibrations along a creative artwork by one of Denmark's most beloved artists.

Condition: Very good condition - very light handling/ageing signs, a tiny tear in the upper right side and a few nearly invisible stains near the text in the right side - please see pictures.
