A poster which is about 70 years is hard to come by in this condition!
Anyway, the poster is an advertisement for the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen (Denmark) and is probably one of the most famous amusement parks in the world. The park is the second oldest amusement park in the world is by far the most visited spot in Scandinavia.
The image displays "Tivoli-Garden" (The Tivoli Guards) - and orchestra founded in 1844 - who are parading and entertaining in the old park. Despite the name, the guards are only carrying instruments as "weapons" although they look a lot like the Danish Royal Life Guards. In the top of the poster is the building called "Nimb" which opened in 1909 as a restaurant. Nimb was notoriously known for being a gathering spot for the wild "roaring twenties" youth when this poster was made. Today Nimb is still a restaurant (also hotel and bar) with a Michelin star.
I believe the poster would advertise for performances and concerts on the blank field on the poster. Since the area is left empty it suggests that the poste was never used.
