A very claim and peace image with woman preparing food in her kitchen back in the 1950s.
The poster is almost meditative as she sits carefully in the own thoughts alone for a (perhaps) quite moment.
The poster was made to promote a kitchen exhibition in Odense/Fyn in 1954 in Denmark. The text in the bottom says: "The Kitchen - Denmark's largest workplace".
This great poster was designed by the legendary Danish poster artist Aage Sikker Hansen (1897-1955). Sikker Hansen created some of the most iconic posters in Danish poster history like the Cirkel Coffee Posters. His posters where often portraits or people often using only pencil and charcoal which makes his images quite detail rich with many textures and shades. This poster is definitely true to his legacy.
