Very cool traffic safety poster encouraging people to wear a helmet.

The text on the poster says (in Danish):
"Look fashionable - wear a crash helmet - avoid skull fractures". And the text in the bottom: "Solid and stylish crash helmets are now available"

The poster urges to use the seat belt when driving car and you will feel safe as if you where sitting in a kangaroo's pouch

This poster was commissioned by The Council for Greater Traffic Safety in Denmark in 1953 in a collaboration with many notable mid-century motor/gasoline brands.

The poster artist, Henry Thelander (1902–1986), was a Danish poster artist known for his elegant and stylish commercial posters, often featuring bold colors and clean compositions. His work, primarily from the mid-20th century, includes advertisements for Danish brands, tourism, and cultural events. Thelander’s posters reflect the influence of Art Deco and modernist aesthetics, making them highly collectible today.
