This very fine poster displays a young country girl working in the fields who seems to make or tie straw bales. The poster was made for the manufacturer Randers Rope which created all kinds of strings, ropes, wires and yarn.
This poster advertises Agricultural Twine which is yarns/strings that is mainly used in the fields for marking and fencing or tie around as straw bales or sheaf of grain.
The poster was made by the legendary Danish poster artist Aage Sikker Hansen (1897-1955) who also created some of the most iconic poster in Danish poster history including advertisements known as "Cirkel Kaffe" and "Davre Gryn". His posters are often made using only pencil and charcoal which makes his images quite detail rich with many textures and shades.
All in all a great vintage poster that will do a very fine job decorating any wall it might be placed on.
