A very nice and rare Danish exhibition poster with arts by the Danish impressionist P. S. Krøyer.
The painting on the poster was made by famous Danish painter Peder Severin Krøyer (1851-1909) - one of Denmark's most famous painters. Krøyer's best known and best-loved work is entitled "Summer Evening on Skagen's Southern Beach" with Anna Ancher and Marie Krøyer from 1893. He painted many beach scenes featuring both recreation life on the beach and local fishermen around the northern tip of Denmark - Skagen.
The motif on this poster is called "Marie i haven" (Marie in the garden) and was painted in 1895. The painting depicts Krøyer's wife Marie Krøyer in their garden in Skagen, Denmark.
Note: the poster has not been resized to its intended size - you can see the black "cutting" marks where the printer was supposed to downsize the poster. This makes the poster a bit more special and probably more difficult to find.
