A magnificent advertisement poster featuring the new mopeds models from Peugeot!

The poster displays three different mopeds from the Peugeot factory in France. It appears that the different models also suits different people with different lifestyles - a detail made clear by the poster artist Couronne on this beautiful vintage poster!

The blue moped on the advertisement (in the bottom) was the first real moped designed by Peugeot. It was named "Cyrus" and was launched in 1956 using a Lavalette engine. The engine gave the moped enough power to reach 34 mph (55 km/h) but according to manufacturer's instructions this speed was not reasonable to support its speed over long distances. A second model became available in 1957 and was ranged between 45 and 50 km/h.

All in all this is a great and typical mid-century poster - from a time when poster was the advertisement king! The poster is is quite difficult to find in this condition - this is a great opportunity to grab something extraordinary.

Please note: The poster is mounted on canvas for better conservation and framing. The poster will be shipped rolled in a study tube.
