A very nice photographic travel poster promoting the Belgian city of Liège!
The poster displays the beautiful museum of archaeology and decorative arts from 1600s, located on the bank of the Meuse River in Liège.
Travel posters like this one was made to place in tourist offices to promote certain destinations. The purpose of the posters was a one-time use and when a new poster was made or when the tourist office started promoting another destination, the poster was thrown away. This is why only a limited number of these poster exists today.
The motifs of these travel posters were often landmarks and historical sites as seen on this poster.
