A very cool French milk advertisement from the times when food products on cans was ideal and also had a different reputation.
This was also when there was still pride in an industrial approach for advertising. Rather than showing what is inside the poster focuses the practical packaging. Perhaps canned products was also practical back in the days where the refrigerators was rarer.
The slogan in the bottom of the poster also empathizes the practical canning. The text can be translated to "Until the last drop, Frence-Lait, Stays clean and fresh".
There is more to this poster. It makes me think of Warhols Campbell's Soup Cans - artwork which criticizes the mass consuming and industrial society. Maybe Warhol got inspired from this very poster?
Even though this looks to be a simple illustration - there is more to the details to discover. the can has a very nice sliver glow, a shadow as well and on the can is picture of France and the France-Lait factory.
