A very nice photographic travel poster promoting the Belgian city of Brussels!
The poster displays a golden statue of Prince Charles de Lorraine, an Austrian general famous for winning and loosing many important battles.
Travel posters like this one was made to place in tourist offices to promote certain destinations. The purpose of the posters was a one-time use and when a new poster was made or when the tourist office started promoting another destination, the poster was thrown away. This is why only a limited number of these poster exists today.
The motifs of these travel posters were often landmarks and historical sites as seen on this poster.
