1985 Tivoli Gardens by Helge Refn (small version) - Original Vintage Poster

Every year Tivoli Gardens lets a new Danish artist design the poster art for the coming season.

The artwork of the poster was created by the Danish artist, Helge Refn (1908-1985). He did mainly posters but Refn also designed costumes and sets for a wide range of performances including at the Royal Theatre and the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm and many posters for the shows.

Tivoli Gardens is located in Copenhagen, Denmark and is one of the oldest and most famous amusement parks in the world. The gardens try to stay true to the magic of the past and is try to differ from the conventional amusement parks by stating that they have nothing made out of plastic.

Note: this is the smaller version of the normal sized poster which is 24.4 x 33.5 in/62 x 85 cm. This small version was retrieved directly from Tivoli and it is very possible that this poster was not meant for sale to the public.
