This is a original vintage poster from 1981 made by the famous Razzia Raf Productions in Paris who is behind many well-known posters.
The text on the poster saying "Pret a Porter" is French and can be translated into "ready to wear". The clothing phenomenon is ready-made clothing, often youthful and avant-garde, produced by fashion designers or designers. Prêt-à-porter is the opposite of haute couture sewn in standard measurements.
Prêt-à-porter already arose around 1920, when people tried to imitate the distinguished Parisian models in cheap textiles and cheaper manufacture. In the 1960s , Prêt-à-porter became widespread, both because of the price and because many preferred a more anonymous clothing style. Haute couture was mostly shown at fashion shows and the like.
This is overall a very nice poster which represents the rich fashion history of Paris. The printing of the poster is extremely well done and the quality of the paper is extremely high. This great poster has always been framed professionally which means that the colors are really well-preserved and the condition is almost as new. This poster is a great addition to anyone who seeks to add a stylish touch to their décor and this poster will surly do it work.
Please note: the poster is printed on heavy grade paper - no need to linen back - can be framed as it is.
