This fantastic exhibition poster features a abstract sketch artwork of Le Corbusier.
I was not able to find the exact sketch online but the motif appears to be a woman sitting in front of a table. The sketch has the text L-C 1927-69.
The lithographic poster was made to promote a Corbusier exhibition in Denmark at a tiny gallery called Galerie Prisma located in Copenhagen. The gallery ceased to exist many years ago.
Le Corbusier, also known as Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris (1887-1865) was a unique designer, architect and urban planner. Some would refer to him as the father of modernistic urban planning (which today might sounds a bit hollow). Corbusier had many critics when it came to urban planning then his architectural projects but either way he was an amazing thinker. Today it is hard to find a major city in the Western World that Le Corbuiser did not affected during his career.
A stunning lithography which I believe is hard to find exhibition - the gallery was very small so the posters must have been printed in a low quantity). Corbuiser is still one of the most important figures for urban planning in the 21st century and his works are in high demand theses days.
