A great original vintage train advertisement for Danish State Railways (DSB).

The advertisement was made to celebrate the 125th anniversary of DSB and displays the first locomotive acquired by DSB in 1847. The locomotive was named "Odin" after the king of gods in the ancient Norse mythology. Odin was inserted the 26th of June at 12:00 o'clock and among the passengers was King Christian VIII and his queen.

Odin was upgraded in 1853 but was already obsolete in 1862 and was finally scrapped in 1876. The blueprints disappeared along with the locomotive but train enthusiast in Denmark are in the middle of making a reconstruction in a 1:1 scale.

The style of the poster seems to be inspired by the "Yellow Submarine" cover graphics by The Beatles from 1969 and features a fine mix of psychedelic colors and if you look close enough the symbol of acid with appear.

This beautiful piece of 1970s advertisement is rarely seen online as only a few editions was made exclusively for the Danish market and I am not aware of any reproductions so far.
