A very decorative exhibition poster encouraging people to visit an exhibition in Belgium with art by Gunhild Skovmand.
The poster displays a beautiful silhouette of a bird (a crow perhaps) sitting alone in a tree.
Gunhild Skovmand (1913 - 2013) was a Danish autodidact artist skilled in the old art form of cutting silhouettes from paper. Skovmand was great inspired by Hans Christian Andersen and she made narratives inspired by Andersen's fairy tales such as The Little Mermaid and The Nightingale.
