1970s Circus Poster - Martin & Downs Circus - Original Vintage Poster

Here is a really nice circus poster which reminds me a bit of Roy Liechtenstein's artwork.

The poster is an advertisement for Martin & Downs Circus which was founded in Canada in 1952. The poster displays a circus princess riding on an elephant overlooked by a clown who seems content with the situation.

This is really great artwork with beautiful layers of colors and those little cartoonist dots we know from the works of Liechtenstein.
