Two playful and colorful parrots was added on this advertisement to lure people into Tierpark Berlin.

The Tierpark (meaning "animal park") was founded 1955 in former East Berlin as Berlin Zoological Garden (located in West Berlin) became impassable for the residents of the former Eastern sector in DDR. There was made a huge effort to make zoo larger, more beautiful and with rarer animals than its western counterpart. Today the Tierpark with its 160 hectares is the largest of its kind in Europe. It has about 7,500 animals spread over more than 850 species.

Overall this is really great and hard-to-find East German poster with a fine look and a good history.
