1960s Fiesta del Monte (red) - Original Vintage Poster

A really nice colorful poster which both serves as travel poster and advertisement.

"Del Monte" is a food cooperation known as "Del Monte Foods". In the lower right corner is the label "Del Monte Corporation" which states where the poster came from.

I believe the poster was made to signal the origin, originality of Del Monte products and was made to add authenticity to the buying experience of Del Monte products.

With that said, the poster displays a touristic picture from what I believe to be from Mexico. The scene reveals "Old Mexico" and a young girl riding a donkey in local market.

I am not sure what "Fiesta del Monte" (World Festival) covers but it could be some sort of food festival or celebration organized by Del Monte.

Being an advertisement from the 1960s this poster is actually great lithographic artwork which also could serve as a travel poster for Mexico.
