A very nice mid-century exhibition poster with a large picture from an unknown scene from the Icelantic saga.
I am not sure what the motif on the poster depicts. It looks like a boat which is about to sink and a battle between Nordic gods and their enemies: the giants.
This exhibition displays the "Sagas of Icelanders" which are known are prose narratives mostly based on historical events that mainly took place in Iceland in the 9th, 10th, and early 11th centuries.
The exhibition was set up in the National Gallery in Copenhagen, Denmark.
