The poster displays the cave of L'aven Armand in the mountains range of Cévennes located in the Massif Central, central France.
It is named after its discoverer, Louis Armand, threw Rozier, who discovered the cave in 1897. The cave houses a forest of stalagmites created by "the splash effect" which is a measure of the erosion of the bare soil caused by the impact of rain drops throughout centuries.
The image on the poster is taken from "the main room", whose floor is located - 328 ft (100 m) beneath the surface. The room is 360 ft (110 m) long with an average height of 147ft (45 m). The room houses a forest of more than 400 stalagmites, including a 98 ft (30 m) high, the largest stalactite known to date in the world.
