The woman's behind which is shaped as a propeller suggests that you can dance and sail at the same time. Clever indeed! Personally I have been on the boat several times and I can confirm the dancing part.

The poster was made as an advertisement for a the Danish shipping company, DFDS Seaways.

This particular advertisement was use to promote the mini cruise between Copenhagen and Oslo.

The poster artist, Ib Antoni (1929-1973), is a quite famous artist and received many prizes during his 20 year career. He created more than 300 posters in his career and among them is several Tivoli Garden, Visit Denmark and Wonderful Copenhagen posters. This poster was one of his last posters ever made.

Happy people was among Antoni's favorite subjects and his line was always happy and romantic which makes this poster quite true to his cheerful style.

Overall this is a great vintage poster featuring good vibrations along a creative artwork by one of Denmark's most beloved artists.

Thanks a lot for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
