More info

This is an advertising poster from the punk rock music documentary featuring the the legendary British punk band, The Clash.

The movie is part fiction and part rockumentary. In the movie we follow the Ray (the rude boy), an passionate Clash fan, who quits his job in a sex shop to become a roadie for the band. The movie shows footage from the rowdy Clash concerts, backstage happenings and also demonstrations. The rest of the movie is for you to watch.

The Clash actually became dissatisfied with the final result of the movie and printed badges saying "I don't want Rude Boy Clash Film".

Another fun fact is that (in UK) the term "rude boy/rude girl" is a sub-cultural expression used from the 1970s to describe a person associated as "street" or "urban" but also a person who is into the punk rock genre.

The Clash was a British punk band that was formed in 1976 and split in 1985. The Clash were one of the first punk bands, and has been very influential on the genre. The group is best known for his third album "London Calling" from 1979, which is considered to be one of the best albums of the 1980s. You might have heard the song "Should I Stay or Should I Go".

This poster was made for the Swiss market and is rarely seen in this color (the more common version is black/white with a pink headliner).

Thanks a lot for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
