Here is a great concert poster featuring the jazz legends Oscar Peterson, Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen and Joe Pass.
The trio recorded a live album called "The Trio" which was released in 1974. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Performance by a Group in 1975.
The venue for the concert was the legendary venue of Montmatre in Copenhagen, Denmark.
During its heydays Montmatre had the following profiles in house: Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins, Nancy Wilson, Betty Carter, Tower of Power and James Brown.
Arnoldi is a self-taught, world-renowned modernist artist. He is particularly known for his posters and considered one of Denmark's most important poster artists. He is known for a tight and easily recognizable form and color language. As a painter, Per Arnoldi always uses primary colors (red/yellow/blue) on a bed of black - just like on this very poster.
Arnoldi is represented in a number of well known museums in the world including Victoria and Albert Museum in London, Museum of Modern Art in New York, Museum of Modern Art in Toyama and Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
This poster is signed by Per Arnoldi.
