More info

I am happy to present a rare poster displaying the elegant "Wishbone Chair" designed by the Danish architect and furniture designer, Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007).

The main picture of the poster displays the Wishbone Chair being gazed at by the Danish actress Lykke Nielsen (1946-2006). In the bottom is a smaller picture of the chair from another angle.

The Wishbone Chair (or Y Chair) was born back in 1949 in collaboration between Wegner and the Danish furniture company Carl Hansen & Søn A/S. The year later the chair was ready for production and became an instant hit - the sales from the chair made up half of Carl Hansen & Søn's revenue in that period). A truly iconic chair was ready to take the world by storm!

Hans Wegner is perhaps the most awarded of the Danish designers and his designs and iconic chairs has made Wegner a true legend in his field. The chair on the poster is no exception to his stunning legacy. Wegner's designs is represented and put on display in museums around the world.

Here is a poster which is not only a beautiful combination of youth, Danish design and pop art. This one is truly a must have for anyone into Danish modern design, furniture and skilled handcrafts.

Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
