Fat Tuesday or "Mardi Gras" in French is actually a Catholic event of heavy dining before starving yourself for some time.
But there are other ways of celebrating Mardi Gras and the most legendary party of them all are found in New Orleans, Louisiana. Then the population of New Orleans more than doubles and various parades, events and festivities takes place. And some people occasionally gets a bit drunk.
