A truly great poster advertising the Expo '92 in Seville, Spain.
The poster displays a woman looking curious at the globe with the beautiful Giralda Tower in the background.
In 1992 it was the 500th anniversary of the discovery of the Americas by Christopher Columbus (1492-1992) and thus the theme was organized to celebrate was "The Age of Discovery". Over 100 countries were represented and the total number of visitors was more than 40.000.000.
Various countries had pavilions including Russia, USA, Japan, India, Australia, China, Canada and a common pavilion shared by countries of The Europe Union. Many of the pavilion was focused on space programs - symbolizing the modern "Age of Discovery" but many pavilions were also dedicated to show of different landmarks, artworks and cultural representations from each country.
Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
