This is an original poster from America's Cup in 1987. The 1987 America's Cup was the twenty-sixth challenge for the America's Cup and the first time for 132 years that it had not been defended by the New York Yacht Club.
The 1987's cup was held outside Perth in Fremantle located in Western Australia. This was the last time that 12-metre class yachts were used in the America's Cup.
The poster is printed as a serigraph in very high quality with powerful colors and the paper quality is quite thick - like light cardboard. This means that the poster will stay in very good condition for many years if framed.
The poster was designed by the Italian painter Franco Costa (1934-2015).
There are little crosses seen on the outlines of the poster indicated where the poster should have been resized too. This poster has not been resized to its intended size which means that this poster is slightly larger than average America's Cup posters.
