This is an original poster from America's Cup in 1987. The 1987 America's Cup was the twenty-sixth challenge for the America's Cup and the first time for 132 years that it had not been defended by the New York Yacht Club.
The 1987's cup was held outside Fremantle which is a city in Western Australia at the mouth of the Swan River. This was the last time that 12-metre class yachts were used in the America's Cup.
The poster is a very nice serigraph made by the Italian painter Franco Costa (1934-2015) and displays the Italian sailboat and team "Italia". However the poster is called "The pride of Italia" and since there was tow Italian teams in the race that year I guess it could be a salute to both crews (also remember Costa was Italian). You can also find the signature of Franco Costa in the lower right corner,
The poster is printed as a serigraph in very high quality with powerful colors and the paper quality is quite thick - like light cardboard. This means that the poster will stay in very good condition for many years if framed
