Here is a really cool World Cup poster featuring the a match between Belgium and Argentina.

The World Cup was played in Spain and the venue for this match was Nou Camp in Barcelona. I believe the motif was used to promote the local team Barcelona's matches as the players wear the color of Barcelona.

Belgium narrowly won the match with one goal by Erwin Vandenbergh (62') and beat the champions from Argentina. Note that a young Maradona is found in the Argentina squad.

Both Belgium and Argentina ultimately advanced at the expense of Hungary and El Salvador but none of the teams made it to the final. The final was won by Italy defeating West Germany 3 -1.

The poster was made by the Spanish artist Donat Sauri who is also quite famous for his advertisements and bullfighting posters. You can find his poster creations being sold at auctions houses all over the world.

This is a great historical poster which is an absolutely must-have for anyone who appreciates both football and vintage posters.

Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
