Here is a quite interesting World Cup poster featuring the final between England and West Germany.
The match was played on Wembley Stadium (London) the 30th July 1966 in front of 96,924 spectators.
England became World Cup Champions for the first time in history while the defeated Germany 4-2 after extra time. The match has often been referred to as "one of the most controversial finals ever" and I recommend you find the match on YouTube.
The poster was made by the Spanish artist Donat Sauri who is also quite famous for his advertisements and bullfighting posters. You can find his poster creations being sold at auctions houses all over the world.
This is a great historical poster which is an absolutely must-have for anyone who appreciates both football and vintage posters.
