More info

This is an original and official advertisement for the Barcelona 1992 Olympic Games.

The poster displays the mascot called "Cobi" running with the Olympic flag. Cobi is a Catalan Sheepdog (northern Spain) in Cubist style inspired by the interpretations of Picasso of a masterpiece from Velázquez, Las Meninas and was named after "Barcelona Olympic Organising Committee" (COOB).

The 1992 Summer Games were the last to be staged in the same year as the Winter Games and due to the end of the Cold War, these games were the first without boycotts since 1972. This was quite a historical Olympic Game and during the Games an huge inflatable Cobi was tethered to the Barcelona waterfront.
