This an original poster displaying the locomotive called "Adler" (Eagle) build in 1835.
Adler was the first locomotive that was successfully used commercially for the rail transport of passengers and goods in Germany. Today only a replica exists which was constructed in 2007.
The poster was made to encourage people to visit the railway museum Verkehrsmuseum Nurnberg Bahn (today known as "DB Museum") where Adler is located.
The poster is quite colorful, detail rich and it does not take a lot of imagination to picture the stream and the industrial sounds use to came from this magnificent piece of engineering.
Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
