A very cool USSR space age poster featuring a portrait of the cosmonaut Pyotr Klimuk.
Pyotr Klimuk was a Belarusian cosmonaut (Russian for astronaut) and was the first to represent his country in Space. Klimuk worked at the Interkosmos program which was a Soviet space program, designed to help the Soviet Union's allies with manned and unmanned space missions.
Klimuk made it to space three times before resigning as Chief of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Moscow.
The poster was made by the Polish poster artist Andrzej Pagowski who is also known for his CYRK posters. The graphics thus looks similar to the CYRK style. Pagowski's work can also be found at MOMA in New York.
