"Stop gossip and rumors. Do not pas on information which you have heard.."
-So says this 1940 Danish Campaign poster published by the Danish Ministry of Justice. The poster is quite patriotic with all the Danish flags so the message of the poster is surely to protect Danish interests during the war.
Nazi Germany invaded Denmark on 9 April 1940 with very little resistance. During the occupation the Danish governments strategy was (arguably) to cooperate with the occupying forces to protect the lives of civilians. Posters like this one was printed and placed in public - probably to secure Danish interest.
A very special and historic poster which makes you think of the some of the darkest years of humanity.
