A nicely designed poster published by The United Nations campaigning for a free Namibia.
Namibia was a German possetion until South Africa occupied German South West Africa during World War I and after World War II, the territory was annexed by South Africa. In 1966, the war of independence for the area, but South Africa did not recognize the independence until 1988, when the UN had presented a peace plan for the entire region. Formally,
Namibia became independent on March 21, 1990, after which democratic elections were held.
I have seen a similar poster online which is dated to 1983.
