A very nice historical political poster featuring the probably the most famous Danish politician ever.

And this is also one of the most famous Danish election poster. This poster is without the Danish text "Stauning eller Kaos" (Stauning or Chaos) but the poster is the same. This poster could very well be test print which also adds value.

Thorvald Stauning (1873-1942) was a Danish politician and first social democratic Prime Minister of Denmark. Stauning was Prime Minister in 1924-1926 and 1929-1942 - that is a total of 15 years and nine months.

His political career was largely dominated by social and labor reforms in but Stauning is also remembered for keeping Denmark away from total chaos during the depression. He was quite a visionary and appointed one of the first female ministers in the world. During the Nazi invasion in 1940 he also managed to safe Denmark from destruction by reluctantly collaboration with the invasion rulers.

Stauning died in office in 1942 - 68 years old. His legacy is without a doubt the contribution of the development of the Danish velfare society - a political model that still inspires many political leaders around the world today.

Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
