This beautiful art deco poster is an advertisement for the The May Fair and festival of San Fernando in the Spanish city of Cáceres.
The poster displays a man wearing traditional cloth looking proud at a shadow of a lady. In the back is the historical city of Cáceres with fireworks!
The May Fair and festival of San Fernando is one of the most anticipated events by the locals and tourists throughout the year. The program of these fairs to be held from May 29 to June 2 and vary as well as the stalls and attractions taking place at the fairgrounds. One of the major activities that are held is bullfighting along with music performances and the "Regional Crafts Festival" - celebrated as and integrated part of the program.
The city of Cáceres province is located in Extremadura, near the Portuguese border and has a population of around 100.000 inhabitants. Cáceres is well-known for its fortifications which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
