This poster was made in 2000 as an exhibition poster for the museum of Louisiana, Denmark. The image of the poster is the famous artwork called "Flowers" originally created by Andy Warhol in 1964. The edition of the original artwork is approximately 300 hand signed signed copies.
The flowers on the image is know as the Mandrinette (Hibiscus fragilis) which is a highly rare, local shrub. Andy Warhol made prints of the Mandrinette in different colors based on a photograph by the nature photographer Patricia Caulfield. Warhol's flatly painted colors and scissor-cut contours of Warhol's Flowers have often invited comparison with the French painter Henri Matisse. This colorful poster will be a great edition to any room which needs a colorful brush-up.
