More info

A quite classical image of what appears to be a guerrilla warrior raising his rifle after a victory.

This image was actually shot in a film named "Shchors" from 1939 Soviet film by Ukrainian director Alexander Dovzhenko. The film was commissioned by the former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin and the film is a biography of the partisan leader and Ukrainian Bolshevik Nikolai Shchors.

The poster is a French advertisement promoting the film festival "Révolte, Révolutions, Cinéma" to be held in the legendary Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.

Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions.
